Why is linen the first material in Pint! manufacturing? Introducing.
(We plan to develop other materials in the future.)
First of all, the concept of Pint!
The summer climate of Japan came to mind.
A hot and humid summer.
The laundry is hard to dry, and the smell remains on the dish towel. .
That's when I came up with the idea of linen, which is absorbent, quick-drying, and well-ventilated.
Even in Japan, before cheap cotton spread, it was a material that was used on a daily basis.
It is said to be the fiber that has been used as cloth since ancient times, both in Japan and around the world.
After that, when I researched the material and talked to the craftsmen, I found other features like this...
●High absorbency
The water absorption speed is fast, and the water absorption of the fiber itself is high.
High quick-drying
Fastest drying among natural materials
●Sturdy
Twice as strong as cotton. It becomes even stronger when wet.
●Stain resistant
It seems to be the easiest to remove dirt among natural materials. Contains pectin to repel water and dirt
●Materials that grow
The more you use it, the softer it will become and the more it will appear. You can enjoy the change while using it for a long time.
(From Boken Quality Evaluation Organization)
It's durable and functional, and the more you use it, the better its texture becomes, making it your own.
I think linen is a material that has the charm of leather.
There are already many people who are fans of linen, but it feels like a material that is still unfamiliar.
When it comes to hemp, many people think of hemp-like cannabis, but linen is flax, which is smoother than hemp.
We want more people to know about linen.
I want not only women but also men to use it more,
It is a material that has many uses, not only in clothes, but also in everyday life.
It is especially useful in the Japanese summer (of course, it can be used comfortably all year round).
And I would like you to use it more hard.
We would like to further spread the appeal of linen through the creation of products that fit the current life scene.
We are continuing to make sample prototypes other than cloth, so please look forward to it.
