This is a Q&A from a customer regarding product handling.

About the iron kettle.

Q.Is the inner part of the tetsubin treated with a metallic finish?

A. Yes, both inside and outside are sealed.

After the shape of the iron kettle is made, it is unglazed at around 800 degrees.
At this time, both the inside and outside are finished with lacquer.
An oxide film is formed, which is used to stop metal.

Of course, an oxide film is formed, but the material is still iron, so it is strictly prohibited to leave water in it.
