The other day, I finished the autumn lunch party of the wooden vessel that tastes the four seasons.

The venue this time is Shioribi. Mr. Goto has prepared dishes that use plenty of the rich ingredients of Matsumoto and Azumino's "autumn".

The table on Shiorihi is large and splendid, so there is a little extra space, but there are delicious-looking dishes with colors that are typical of autumn ingredients. Compared to summer ingredients, there are fewer bright colors and crispy freshness, and I feel that there are more warm colors and textures, such as preparations for the upcoming cold winter. Seen from this point of view, colors become more and more interesting.

Since the café on Shiori day was open as usual, I was given a lecture focusing on the introduction of the ingredients and the demonstration of the presentation of the food that had been cooked. Some of the pottery lined up in the wooden bowl is made by a Nagano artist brought by Mr. Goto, and an Arabian pottery in Shiorihi. Even if the materials are different, things made from natural materials harmonize beautifully.

This time, there were many people who wanted to participate, but the schedule did not match. Therefore, we have already decided on the schedule for the next meeting, which is a while away. Try to hold it on weekdays.

Friday, February 10, 2017 12:00-14:30
Venue: Bookmark day
Application: Apply by bookmark date or send a message to info(@)playground.co.jp that you would like to participate. I will upload a dedicated page at a later date.

I think that the ratio of root vegetables increases in winter, but it is the season when there are few ingredients. There seems to be a different perspective from spring, summer, and autumn, and I am looking forward to the variations in cooking methods and presentation. We look forward to your participation everyone.
