It started today. On the 5th floor of the Shinjuku Isetan Main Building, we are exhibiting at events.
The theme is ”Green tourism in Tokyo”
Led by Tokyo Mori and Mr. Ichiba, furniture and miscellaneous goods made from wood from Tokyo are gathered together.
Pint! helped make the cypress bowl for this project.
A new challenge to undertake the finishing using the Tokyo cypress wooden bowl inherited from the late Okutama woodturner. It was made of coniferous wood, and although it was a different difficulty than usual production, thanks to the craftsmen, I was able to make it into a shape. Cute shape. As this is a project to reproduce the woodturners of Okutama, for this event, for the first time in Pint!, it is finished with urethane coating. (Urethane coating will not be sold at Pint! WEBSHOP in the future. Other finishes are undecided.)
There are 3 sizes of bowls, but we weren't able to prepare that many, so the middle size was almost gone by noon. We still have 2 sizes, large and small, and other Pint!
It is also used for the display facing the street outside on the 1st floor of the main building. Of these, there are only three bowls, but do you understand them? The 5th floor has an impressive lineup and space, so I think you can enjoy it.
