The first process called forge welding. Here we create the base of the blade body before the shape of the blade. The steel that becomes the blade is attached to iron or stainless steel. Steel is on the top and iron is on the bottom. It is joined by heating it to a high temperature in a kiln and beating it.

The forged blade is hammered out. This process is called forging and is unique to hammered blades. Japanese forged knives are considered to be excellent even in the world, and there is a history of making various items such as Japanese swords, blades for agricultural tools, and kitchen knives. Each time you hit it, the thickness is removed, and it is gradually stretched thin. It makes a lot of noise and sparks, making it dangerous to shoot.
