The first process called forge welding. Here we create the base of the blade body before the shape of the blade. The steel that becomes the blade is attached to iron or stainless steel. Steel is on the top and iron is on the bottom. It is joined by heating it to a high temperature in a kiln and beating it.
The forged blade is hammered out. This process is called forging and is unique to hammered blades. Japanese forged knives are considered to be excellent even in the world, and there is a history of making various items such as Japanese swords, blades for agricultural tools, and kitchen knives. Each time you hit it, the thickness is removed, and it is gradually stretched thin. It makes a lot of noise and sparks, making it dangerous to shoot.
The blade still has heat. After this, forging is performed even after the temperature has dropped to normal. This is the process that takes place at the forge in the factory.
From here is the work of sharpening. First, it is sharpened with a grinder with a large eye, called rough sharpening. After finishing this process, it will be in the shape of a kitchen knife you have seen. A rough blade is formed.
Adjust by hand while checking the balance with your eyes. After that, it is sharpened with a fine grinder in the second stage.
After this, the final sharpening is performed in the finishing, and the handle is attached to complete the work. The pattern is not a ready-made product, it is made in the factory.
