Last time, we used the shop uniform as a starting point to create a shop coat that can be worn on a regular basis.
This time (and later), the concept is to create a lineup of Kagure original items under the theme of "Kagure's wardrobe". What do you want to propose as "Kagure's wardrobe"? what kind of wardrobe is that? Rather than just creating original items, Kagure's feelings and atmosphere must be expressed through clothing, and Kagure's outline must be clearly highlighted. The hurdles are high, but it's a fun project.
This is the beginning of the first cool, where we create original items that are the first focus of the wardrobe. It is scheduled to be released next spring. We plan to hold a total of 4-5 meetings until completion. Today is the kickoff meeting. Starting with meeting the members, I thought about what Kagura's wardrobe would be, and decided what to make as the first piece of clothing.
First, let me introduce the members.
Kagure Director Mr. Sakata
Kagure Press Mr. Takahashi
Kagure Ladies Buyer Mr. Miyazaki
Kagure Omotesando store Mr. Okuda
Mr. Yazawa from Kagure Midtown
Mr. Moro from Kagure Marunouchi
enrica Machida (design and production)
Pint! Nakachi (planning/provision)
Everyone at the Kagure store has changed the members from the previous time, and is the second planning member. We have a variety of members with different backgrounds and when they joined Kagure.
Based on "Kagure" and "wardrobe", various opinions such as items you want to have, images of materials, images of Kagure's style, points you want to be particular about, etc. will be gathered. It was the same with the previous member, but as expected, the image that everyone gives is overlapping without blurring.
"Comfortable natural materials" "Clothes that can be worn as standard for a long time" "Beautiful, beautiful, cool" "It lifts you up" "Enjoy dressing"...
It's hard to convey the nuances in words, but those who know Kagure will be able to recall the atmosphere of the Kagure store with these keywords. Even from an outsider's point of view, Kagure is a store that has a strong "ness" in a good way. And, this is my very personal opinion, but rather than having a single recognition under the brand, the values of each staff member and the values of each staff member are matched and gathered together. I think that's the appeal of Kagure. Maybe that's why I get the impression that each and every staff member of the store is independent. There are currently 6 Kagure stores , but there are not many stores that have this kind of atmosphere even though they have multiple stores, and I think that is the reason why I am a fan of Kagure.
If you haven't been there, please stop by if there is a store near you. As I introduced earlier, this time, store staff from the Omotesando, Marunouchi, and Midtown stores are participating in this planning meeting. Normally, when it comes to original products, decisions are often made with specialist planners and buyers, but store staff are also involved. During the discussion, the store staff introduced the customer demographics of each store, as well as their perspectives, concerns, and voices when choosing clothes.
Considering the scene of wearing, this time I will make everyday clothes.
In a nutshell, there are various types of everyday wear, but what I would like to propose is "everyday clothes that are comfortable to wear, are definitely good, and can be worn beautifully and stylishly", and "I want to continue wearing high-quality standard clothes for a long time." clothes".
Now, along with the Kagure concept, I have a firm image of how I will wear it, but how do I express it in the form of clothes? This point was one of the challenges in the previous shop coat (uniform), and the reaction from the actual customers was good as well as our response. I decided to take over this process and expression method, brush it up, and make use of it in this project. What item would you like to match with this shop coat? I thought in that order.
The item decided in this way is a dress. We decided to aim for an original dress that would be a reliable addition to your wardrobe.
The elements mentioned in the image of the previous clothes are "comfortable", "certainly good natural materials", "daily wear", "mainly worn alone", and "match with shop coat (and similar clothes)". ”,
・Material: linen or cotton
・Collarless pullover
・Long sleeves
Opinions even came up with a rough design image. What shape will it take? What kind of details do you want to include? What style do you want to wear? The image is getting more and more inflated, but this time it's so far.
From the point of view of natural materials and comfort, the first point in making clothes that we are most particular about is the "fabric", and that is where we start. From here on, we will consider it at the next meeting when we have the fabric candidates.
Next time, August 9th.
Until then, designer enrica Machida will search for fabric candidates based on today's content. In the meantime, Kagure will be thinking about what kind of design elements to include in One Piece. For one month, we will expand the image, such as materials, colors, shapes, and details.
Next, we will touch the "fabric" that can be shared and recognized, and proceed while looking at the "visual image" such as pictures and photos, so it will be a task to think about a concrete design. Today, I shared the image in words, but from the next time, it will take a concrete form. Even with everyone's tools so far, when it comes to examining the shape, the level of shared recognition rises dramatically, and the resolution also increases. The speed of the discussion also increases, but it takes time to decide just because it is concrete. I have a feeling it will be a more exciting time.
I am already looking forward to the next planning meeting. As someone behind the scenes, I would like to spend this month thinking about Kagure and One Piece.
We will update the report again next time.
Kagure's original dress, planned and produced over a period of more than half a year. It is a project that I have never heard of before (for me), to distribute a report on the product planning of clothes making from scratch. I hope that through this project report, you will be able to see how one piece of clothing is made.
