Kagure's Wardrobe #01-3 REPORT ~Toile Check/Fabric Examination~

2016-09-13-10-46-46
Kagure no Wardrobe #01, the third planning meeting was held the other day after a period of one month.

[Until last time]
1st 2016/7 #01-1 REPORT ~ Consideration of production items ~
2nd 2016/8 #01-2 REPORT ~ Design review ~

Until the last time, I decided on the overall atmosphere and concept of the dress, the design as a rough shape, and even the fabric candidates. I probably spend more time than normal manufacturing on image and concept creation, which is the root of making original clothes. This is in order to increase the number of people involved in the planning, directly absorb the voices of the staff and customers of each Kagure store, and utilize them in making clothes.

This time, enrica Machida has produced a toile (a sample to see the shape made of sheeting fabric), so we will work on the specifics of the shape based on this. We have also prepared a new candidate for the fabric.

toile sample. Since the fabric has not been decided yet, it is a very basic toile. At the stage where the fabric is decided, it is necessary to reflect it in the shape again, so we solidify the direction with a basic shape.

Although it is a sheeting, it is different from sharing words and pictures, and it is possible to share images when there is a shape. By actually trying it on, we were able to make detailed considerations such as the overall silhouette, the space around the neck, the ease of movement around the arms, and the position of the pockets.

We will proceed while trying on each other in turn. Not only the customers, but also the staff have various body types. I thought about what kind of pattern making and how to wear it, and how I could introduce it to customers.

Consider again the following points that were roughly fixed.
・Size development → One size development
・Silhouette → Moderately thin and beautiful silhouette line
・Sleeves → With sleeves so that you can wear it for a long time
This will proceed without change.

Here are some other points to consider. We have a lot.
▼Silhouette
・ Shirt type or form to wear
・Whether it can be squeezed with a string/belt
・Whether or not to put a lining
・Presence or absence of switching
・With or without darts
・Presence or absence of gathers and tucks
・Pocket shape and position
・Sleeve shape
・Sleeve length
・Cuff type
・・・Other details, etc.

The list goes on and on, but I think about it, shape it, and finally make a piece of clothing.

It's still in the toile check stage, so it's difficult to give a detailed report, but if you just extract the general parts,
"Long sleeves" "Pockets on both sides. Positioned slightly lower than the Toile sample" "No lining" "A string or belt can be attached. Attach belt loops so that you can wear it without discomfort. No." "One point is to add some ingenuity to the pocket (please look forward to it)."

The point has been decided.

The fabric is also considered from new candidates in conjunction with the shape. There are also various points to consider.
·material
・Thickness
·colour
・Finishing method
・Fabric width

While considering the balance with Kagure's next season's theme color, I focused on the texture and the beauty of the dyeing. Of course, there are convenience and price depending on the fabric, and the price will vary greatly. When planning a product, it is often the case that the price is a constraint, but from the direction of the original production this time, we will prioritize the fabric quality and craftsmanship first. Therefore, the price is blind, and I narrowed it down to the best fabrics for this outfit. (Because a balance with the price is also necessary, we will make adjustments including feasibility later.)
Ms. Machida from enrica will update the fabric and sample again based on this content. The work of a professional who skillfully incorporates the keywords and image fragments that came up during the meeting into patterns and fabrics while reflecting the specifications in the form. I am looking forward to the next sample.

Next time (3rd time) will be 10/14.
Both the shape and dough are being squeezed little by little, and we are getting closer to the final shape, but the final stage is the critical moment. I think that there will be new improvements and challenges next time, but I want to overcome this and get closer to a better one.

Kagure's original dress, planned and produced over a period of more than half a year. This project is to deliver a report on the product planning of clothes making from scratch. Out of 4-5 times, the 3rd time is over. Considering the amount of work to be done from now on, qualitatively, I think we've reached the 4th station. We are finally approaching the middle stage. Through this project report, please take a look at how one piece of clothing is made.
