The second installment of Kagure's wardrobe project, which was introduced in the previous series summary article , has started. Proceeding with the pro version of everyone's tools, Kagure's original items will be planned and produced with the staff and enrica.
This project started with a linen shop coat made as a uniform for Kagure.
The second linen dress will be a series called "Kagure's wardrobe", and it has been decided that from now on, Kagure's standard original items will be prepared little by little, one item each year.
It is a level that is usually difficult to achieve, and it is a full-fledged original line that takes time and thought. We think about items that can be introduced as standard items for a long time, not items that sell out in a season. By the way, it's ladies.
Following the items that have been made so far, what will you make as Kagure's wardrobe this time? Members will also think from 0 anew.

First, Mr. Sakata told us about the aim and thoughts of Kagura for this project. When Mr. Sakata first entered Kagure, the number of stores was still small, and it seems that it was a scale that made it easy to develop original items that boiled down the concept. It was a story about returning to the origins of manufacturing while making use of Kagure's strengths that have grown little by little since then.
Kagure currently has 6 stores. It is a shop where you can feel the concept and atmosphere. Although there is a straight line as Kagure, there are shops such as the Omotesando store, the Yokohama store in the station shopping center Joinus, the Marunouchi store lined with high-end stores, and the slightly smaller stores in Midtown. Also, the lineup handled at each store is slightly changed. There seems to be a different difficulty than when it was one or two stores.
While each store selects and develops according to each customer, it creates original items that incorporate the concept of Kagure. For this reason, the staff of each store will also participate, and it will be a challenge to return to the origins of Kagure's origins.

The first step is to examine the items. First of all, from sharing the concept of "Kagure" and "Kagure's wardrobe".
The keywords that everyone came up with were "style and items that won't go out of fashion", "lifestyle", "natural materials", "clothes that you want to wear in everyday life", "everyday but beautiful to wear", "high-quality materials", etc. Continuing from the previous series, this area was also strongly shared.
There were a lot of item proposals, from tops to bottoms, set-ups and accessories, but when making "Kagure's wardrobe", the top priority is to consider what to assemble and what customers can propose and choose. proceeded.
In addition, we discussed the flow from the previous two items (linen shop coat, linen dress) and the items that can be worn as a standard item in everyday life. (In principle, there will be no majority vote)
resulting in,,,
The item has been decided to be a "shirt"!
The standard item. The shirt is simple, but depending on the specifications and materials, it is quite wide if you consider it in detail.
A lot of opinions come out one after another, such as the shirts that Kagure sells, the shirts that customers are looking for in stores, and personal things related to shirts.
If it's a shirt, this material and shape! On the other hand, there were also several members who couldn't find a shirt they liked or looked good on and didn't usually wear it. There are many types of shirts in terms of the thickness of the fabric and the shape of the color.
Expectations are rising for future developments due to the excitement of the shirt discussion. (Although the hurdles to overcome seem high)

From around here, I passed the baton to Mr. Machida of enrica.
Among the shirts, it is necessary to narrow down the theme first, so this time I thought about it from a product planning perspective. It's hard to decide from which point of view, such as when to wear, when to wear, materials, silhouettes, and colors.
Based on the elements mentioned in the previous brand concept, “everyday but beautiful,” “comfortable,” “natural materials,” and “high quality,” the shirts that line up in the wardrobe are also considered.
The previous two items were made from medium-weight linen, so there was an opinion that if the shirts were to be made from a different material, it would be better to use the same linen but with a slightly different texture.
As the story progressed, several keywords came up as the points to look for in the shirt.
·material
・Touch and comfort
・Lightness and softness
・Even if you fasten the button or open it and put it on
・Beautiful color → plant dyeing?
・I don't mind wrinkles
・I have an image that it is difficult to move, so I want to clear it
- Can be worn all year round.
・No (less) transparency
It's vague, but you can see the image a little. We still can't break it down into designs and patterns, but as a step, we decided to start with the "fabric". (Last time we started with dough)

What was decided today
・The item made with Kagure's wardrobe #02 is a "shirt"
・Determine the design and pattern starting from the fabric
And here is the homework for next time.
・Mr. enrica Machida is searching for fabric candidates. Focusing on linen, cotton, silk, linen cotton, silk cotton, and natural materials. Organic ingredients if possible. The texture of the fabric is "less (less) transparent", "soft" and "matte".
・The Kagure members are preparing a proposal for a shirt. Words, illustrations, favorite shirts and clothes are OK, so please come prepared.
Next time, we will bring these together and work out the specific image and design of the shirt. It will be held in mid-August.
By the way, for this series, a report on Kagure Blog will be uploaded in parallel with the PINT report.
→Added 8/16 Kagure Report
Mr. Shimada from Kagure Omotesando, a participating member, was in charge. You have written a lot of wonderful articles such as events and interview articles.
Separate reports for PINT and Kagure will be uploaded each time. It's written from different perspectives, so I hope you enjoy it.
