(The picture is the production scene of the wooden vessel at the previous event)

This is the next recruitment for "Everyone's Tool".

Next to Yamagata is Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.

It will be held on Shiori day , where the exhibition and sales event and "Everyone's Item Talk Live" were held before.

"Everyone's Tool" is a project of manufacturing where users plan products while learning and knowing about manufacturing.

This time I will make a wooden vessel.

The craftsman who will make it is Mr. Ogura of Kanekin Ogura tray shop .

While planning with Mr. Kikuchi from Bookmark Day, there are many new challenges for the first time this time, so I will introduce them.

1) Think of a wooden vessel you want to use in your life in Matsumoto! So, for the first time this time, we gathered participants from the theme setting and discussed.
Due to the process of drying the wood, we had set the sizes and themes of the wooden vessels in advance and solicited them.
Click here for detailed report article
We finished the discussion last weekend, and next week Mr. Ogura, a woodturner, will purchase it at the wood market.

2) 2 sizes available
So far, we have planned one size for each product, but with the cooperation of Mr. Ogura, a woodturner, we have expanded to two sizes this time.

3) Visit the workshop
The 3rd time, "Make a shape".
Usually, Mr. Ogura brought a portable potter's wheel to the venue to make it.
This time, the venue is Matsumoto, which is close (not far) to Nagiso, where Mr. Ogura's workshop is located, so I decided to visit his workshop.

It seems that a new world of everyone's tools will spread.
Below is the text of the information leaflet.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Matsumoto.

Matsumoto living wooden vessel

For Matsumoto Kurashiki no Utsuwa #00, I thought of a wooden vessel that I would want to use every day in my life in Matsumoto.
The scene of Matsumoto's dining table that comes to mind is the abundance of vegetables and fruits.
I decided to create a bowl with a depth that would allow me to serve a salad full of vegetables and a lot of seasonal fruits.

We will decide the shape and detailed specifications from here together with everyone at this event.
This is an event where you learn about materials and techniques, think about shapes, visit craftsmen's workshops to produce, and complete a single product.
In May of 2016, crafts started selling at Shioribi, and they will continue to be produced and sold widely.

While tracing the process of making a wooden vessel, which seems so obvious and unknown, let's think about the vessel you want to use in your life now and in the future.
