At an event scheduled for next month, I will make and exhibit an original cypress bowl. Information on the event will be announced once the information is released.
This photo shows stock in a semi-finished state called coarse ground cypress bowl. In this state, the wood is dried up to the middle and then cut into a bowl shape. The warehouse that stocks these rough saws is not owned by the woodturner who always asks us to do it, but by Yamanushi in West Tokyo, who we are working with. Starting with next month's event, the project will start.
Japanese cypress bowls and vessels have long been considered to be of high quality, and production and distribution volumes are limited. Please look forward to it.
