Yunomi Bowl White Kannyu
A teacup bowl with penetration.
Kannyu is a traditional manufacturing method that intentionally causes fine cracks in the glaze on the surface. Because it absorbs water, if you put something dark in color such as tea or coffee, it will soak into the penetration part and color it. In addition, cracks continue to occur at a certain rate during use. In rare cases, it may make a cracking sound, but it does not cause any problems, so please use it with confidence. You can enjoy the aging that grows by using it.
Because it is made as a tea bowl for sencha, it is small in size. It is useful when you want to pour hot tea while drinking, or when you want to serve tea to small guests. At PINT, we often use this teacup when we have a meeting at the store. When there are several people, each person wants to drink a different amount, so this size bowl is easy to use. Of course, you can choose not only green tea, but also your favorite.
Originally produced by Totsuchiya, Nankei Touen is now a kiln that mainly produces teapots and tea utensils. Banko-yaki from Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, is popular for making teapots that are lightly and hard baked using unique highly viscous clay.
Due to the use of pottery clay that contains a small amount of metal sulfide, there may be black spots on the surface, but please enjoy the texture of the material.
Penetration is different one by one.
