The one-week event at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi ended successfully.
This time, it was an event where a special cafe counter was created in a space that is usually only for product sales. Mr. Mitsukoshi prepared a nice counter for us. We didn't usually have a cafe space, so we started with some concerns about whether customers would stop by.
In addition, most of the cups prepared by Atsushi Izaki, the main seller, were sold out. Many people enjoyed choosing their own cups, including customers who tasted and purchased at the counter, foreign customers, and repeat customers who had come to the event before.
Along with this review, I would like to introduce "Time to enjoy my coffee" again.
Time to enjoy "my" coffee
is a three-person unit consisting of Hachizo (coffee), Atsushi Izaki (pottery), and PINT (miscellaneous goods). It is held twice a year at department stores, antique shops, clothing stores, etc., and this is the 6th time in total.
It started with the desire to create an opportunity for people to enjoy their coffee time at home. The world of coffee tends to be a lot of technology and knowledge, but the feeling and scene of drinking coffee is each person. Refresh your mind before work, take a breather, spend time around the table with family and friends. We will help you enjoy your favorite coffee time according to how you drink and your mood.
Specifically, we will propose from the perspective of "coffee beans x cup shape". In fact, coffee tastes different depending on the shape of the cup, just like wine and sake. The difference is how easy it is to perceive sourness and bitterness, and how the aroma spreads. The amount according to the cup size is also important. It's not about which one is better, but I would be happy if you could find your favorite combination and feel the wide range of ways to enjoy it. Of course, the cups are also available in different colors and types depending on the glaze.
You can experience it at the coffee counter. You can choose your favorite cup when you offer hand drip coffee that is brewed one cup at a time in front of you. You can choose the type of beans and your favorite cup. After eating, if you like it, you can buy the cup as it is (we have prepared separately from the cafe). At the cafe, you can try one cup of coffee in two different cups, and everyone is amazed at the difference. You can choose by intuition, or it's fun to talk to Mr. Yanagawa of Hachizo and ask for recommendations.
There are many coffee stands at shops and events, but this is the first time for me to combine coffee and tableware, and everyone is enjoying the new experience.

Here are the member introductions.
▼ Hachikura
Hachizo is a coffee unit owned by Mr. and Mrs. Yanagawa, who brews a cup of coffee by hand drip. After training at a famous coffee shop in Tokyo, he is now active as a business trip coffee shop, including events. After I started asking for coffee at the PINT exhibition event, I fleshed out the project as a collaboration, and now I have time to enjoy "my" coffee.
Hachizo's coffee, which is carefully selected for its beans, is really delicious. And not only the taste, but also the hand drip over the counter and the talk are attractive. Coupled with the story about coffee and Mr. Yanagawa's character, there are many people who repeat even for short-term events. In the preparations before the event, we think about the menu structure through trial and error every time, but we also ask them to look at the type of coffee beans, compatibility with the cup, and how they feel the taste. His wife, Risa, is in charge of customer service and support at the counter. We will make delicious baked sweets, although they are not served at Nihonbashi this time.
▼ Izaki Atsushi no Utsuwa
Atsushi Izaki, a ceramic artist, is making cups and vessels for this event. Originally, I invited you to exhibit and sell together at the PINT sales event, and I liked the work itself, but like PINT, I was thinking about the point of "actually using the vessel". When I held an event with Mr. Hachizo, it all started when I tried to make it a form that people would actually use, instead of simply setting up a coffee corner.
In addition to production, he creates and prepares tableware for cafes, the difference in coffee taste depending on the shape of the cup, and the development and production of cups based on that.
As a multi-talented creator who can also design, the graphic design for the event was also done by Mr. Izaki.
▼PINT
We are developing wooden vessels and linen items that can be used with coffee time and cups. Mainly working behind the scenes for holding and event planning.
▼ Binasce
This is our guest exhibit. This is a biscotti specialty store that is particular about the size of the biscotti and the ingredients that are easy to eat. There are a wide variety of flavors, so looking for a combination with coffee is also fun. This time it's a set with coffee, and I'm wearing biscotti. Biscotti is said to be roughly served in a bowl and eaten as an accompaniment to coffee in Italian cafes. It feels like a casual snack in Japan. The way I look at biscotti has changed in a good way. It comes in a package that can be stored and can be purchased to take home. I would be happy if you could try it.
This event is a series, and every time we upgrade and try new things. We will upload the event information blog again when it is held next time, so please come by all means. So far, it has been held at department stores, miscellaneous goods sales events, clothing brand exhibitions, etc. Please contact info☆pint.mn (please change ☆→@) to request the event.
