[Event Announcement/Recruitment] Minna no Ugu vol.4

We've received a lot of requests, and it's been decided that everyone's tools will be held in Tokyo. We will start recruiting project members who can participate.

"Everyone's Tool" is a participatory product planning project where users think about what they really want to use.

For more information, please see the Minna no Tools page (past reports and finished product introductions) .

Below is an overview of this event with photos, but first, let's summarize the points of "Everyone's Items vol.4".

■ We will learn and know manufacturing deeply from the zero point of materials, and plan one product while following the process.
■ This time, we will make "Fuki-lacquer Sake Set, Guinomi and Sake Cup" using zelkova wood and wipe-lacquer finish.
■ It is necessary to have a deep understanding of the relationship between sake and sake cups when making guinomi and sake cups. Mr. Tada, the head of Tsukiyomi-an sake, will talk about sake and proceed while tasting it.
■ We plan products while deeply learning about "wooden craftsmanship", "wiping lacquer", "sake", and "sakeware".
■ From Nagiso, Nagano Prefecture, a woodturner will come to you and determine the shape while making it in front of you.
■ This is not a self-made workshop. The product is planned by the participants, the production is by craftsmen, and once completed, it will be widely sold by Pint! and used at Tsukiyomian.

[About Minna no Ugu vol.4]
This year's theme is "Fuki-lacquered Sake Set: Guinomi and Sake Cups Thinking of Sakeban"

This is the first time we will be co-hosting with a restaurant. At Tsukiyomi-an, a restaurant in Kagurazaka, Tokyo, where you can enjoy Japanese and Western dishes centering on sake, everyone listened to a talk about sake cups and sake by Mr. Tada, the sake keeper (advisor of the Association of Restaurant Sake Providers). Make a wipe lacquer sake cup. We also offer tastings of Japanese sake by drinking vessel and Tsukiyomi-an meals.

Mr. Ogura, a woodturner from Nagiso, Nagano Prefecture, and Mr. Morimoto, a lacquerware artisan from Yamanaka, Ishikawa Prefecture, who are commissioned by Pint!

While studying and learning about fuki-lacquer ware, we look at the relationship between sake and ware and carry out product planning. The characteristics of the same sake differ depending on the shape and thickness of the sake cup, so we created two types of sake cups with different shapes. It is truly a sake set that allows you to enjoy sake twice as much. Lacquerware, sake cups, and Japanese sake will be explored together with specialists in each field, and the shapes of sake cups will be considered.

In addition to the manufacturing aspects of "wooden craftsmanship (turning)" and "wiping lacquer", jointly held with Tsukiyomi-an, "sake" and "sakeware" will also be thoroughly learned while progressing. Let's take a look into the world of sake and sake cups together.

In this way, this is an event to plan the best sake cups for enjoying sake.

We will introduce the venue and co-hosted Tsukiyomi-an and the flow of each of the four events in total.

[About the venue, Tsukiyomi-an]
Tsukiyomi- an in Iidabashi, Kagurazaka
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese sake selected by Mr. Tada, the sake keeper, along with seasonal ingredients.
Mr. Tada will talk about sake, the relationship between the taste of sake and sake cups, and the differences between the materials and shapes of sake cups.

By getting to know sake, we want you to enjoy it not only at the shop but also at home. It was Mr. Tada's thought that led to this joint event.

The location of Tsukiyomi-an is about a 3-minute walk from Iidabashi Station. Tsukiyomi-an will be reserved for all four times.
