Futako Tamagawa Craft Fair on November 25th (Sat) and 26th (Sun). (Venue: Futako Tamagawa Rise)
At the PINT booth (booth No. 62), we will hold a made-to-order event for wooden plates made from potter's wheel!
A craftsman will make your own original wooden plate in front of you. The craftsman is Mr. Ogura of Kanekin Ogura Seibonjo, who makes wooden vessels in Nagiso, Nagano Prefecture. We bring in potter's wheel and perform demonstration production.
The wood is turned on the potter's wheel and shaved with a plane to complete a single wooden plate. Let's make a flat plate with a diameter of 24 cm by thinking about the shape together while watching the carving. It's a size that can also be used for bread, pasta, and side dishes. You can finish it with olive oil and take it home as it is.
・24 cm diameter round flat plate (finished with corkscrew and olive oil), 2-3 cm thick

The image is the same order-made event held at the Kagure Omotesando store three years ago. In this way, one-on-one with Mr. Ogura, a craftsman, you can create an original wooden plate while carving, touching, thinking, and consulting with Mr. Ogura.
With or without a rim, whether the surface is flat or slanted overall, the thickness, and how the finger rests on the surface, you can choose how to use and shape the front and back surfaces to your liking. Even if you are unsure about the shape instructions, please be assured that you can make it while consulting with the craftsman about "I want to use it like this" and "I want to serve this dish".
