Having an ethical stance on the MAD market
Information about events in Tokyo. It's a talk event, not a sales event.
AIT is creating a “platform” for accessing contemporary visual arts in various places around Tokyo. Based in the AIT room in Daikanyama, the program MAD offers lectures and talk events by various lecturers, including artists. Among them, Mr. Sakata, the director of Kagure , will be on stage as a lecturer on June 6th. The theme is "Having an ethical stance on the market." We look at the past and future markets from the perspective of apparel, lifestyle brands and shops, not art. The theme includes Mr. Sakata's career so far, his current perspective as Kagure director, and future prospects, and it is an interesting content for those involved in manufacturing and products.
While Mr. Sakata wanted to convey these themes, he was very sympathetic to the concept and activities of PINT, so I decided to join him. Focusing on the story of "Everyone's Items" jointly worked on by Kagure and PINT, we will also talk about PINT's way of thinking and how PINT faces the market.
A combination of Kagure, which continues to have a unique presence and atmosphere for an urban research shop, and PINT, which aims for a new form of manufacturing. We would be happy if it would be an opportunity to look back on our current manufacturing and lifestyle by conveying our thoughts, not in the middle of the miscellaneous goods and apparel industry.
