Everyone's Item 3 "Matsumoto Living Wooden Vessel" has finally been completed! (There is a link at the bottom of the product page)

[Previous reports]
0th time: Think about Matsumoto's vessel
1st time: Get to know the material
2nd time: Think about the shape
3rd time: Make a shape )

Today is the last time, the completion unveiling party. I have a finished vessel. 20 sheets each of 2 sizes, large and small, total 40 sheets. Because it is made of solid wood, the wood grain is different one by one, so we will welcome you all side by side.

It fit perfectly in the 4th floor venue of the venue. There is no chance to choose while looking at so many wood grains. You can choose what you like from these, and enjoy a potluck meal with everyone.

This time, unfortunately, the number of participants has decreased significantly due to sudden schedules and people who are not feeling well. (If you are absent, we will give it to you on the date of the bookmark.)

The participants who arrived at the venue were lined up, and there were smiles and voices of joy at the finish of the finished product.
I immediately chose my favorite wood grain.

Last time, I decided on the shape at the workshop, but today is the first time I see the finished product.

In the previous production, we used freshly sawn lumber so that you could see the flow of production. As a result, it contained a lot of water and was heavy. As for the thinness, it was as thin as I had requested.

Grain patterns, color depth, subtle differences in edge thickness and thickness (because they adjust the strength while sawing), feel when held (because of solid wood, slight differences in weight) ), there are differences that are unique to the manufacturing of solid wood.

They looked at it, held it, looked at the back side, and chose it happily. Time passes quickly.

The wood grain and color preference, and those who purchased multiple pieces enjoyed the combination and were selected. There are various wood grains that you like, and it's fun to ask them why they chose them.

After choosing the tableware, everyone uses the tableware to serve potluck dishes.
IMG_1990
"Tsukemono" mentioned at the planning meeting
In the Kanto region where I live, tsukemono is often served in small bowls, but in Matsumoto and Nagano, when people gather together, it is said that this volume is served in a dynamic way. It's colorful and beautiful.

Apple and cheese meat roll. Meat and wooden bowls also go well together.
IMG_1993
Canola flowers, carrots, asparagus. The vivid colors of the vegetables shine on the bark.
IMG_1986
Chirashi sushi is also available! Of course, it also goes well with rice. When I have a planning meeting, I want to eat curry with this dish! Also the voice. (Be careful as the curry tends to be colored.)

Here are the dishes prepared by the participants. It was a potluck party without a meeting, but it turned out to be a gorgeous and well-balanced dining table! It is truly teamwork.

This is our special guest, Mr. Kazumi Goto, owner of Ohisama Kitchen .
A cooking class is held in Azumino next to Matsumoto.

Dishes are prepared using seasonal ingredients, with a focus on local produce.
Thanks to the introduction of the participating members, we welcomed him as a guest.
A book that introduces the wonderful life and cuisine of Azumino has also been published, so if you are interested, please take a look.

With Mr. Goto, we will work together on a year-round project where we will make this event a spring dish, and have you cook dishes using local seasonal ingredients on this dish in summer, autumn, and winter. As for events after summer, we will inform you as soon as the details are decided, so please look forward to it.

For large vessels,

"Cherry blossom black soybean rice plate"

Dishes and presentation that you can feel the season from the appearance and color. In this way, it is also good to use it as a one plate.
IMG_1978
in a small vessel,

"Shiratama dumpling with cherry agar"

Small vessels are characterized by their lightness. It is sure to be useful for these dessert plates.

A dish that everyone imagined from the vessel. Just by looking at it this way, it goes well with a variety of dishes.

And thank you for waiting. Let's eat together!

While eating around the table with everyone, I look back on the year I was involved in this production.

It started exactly one year ago.

Planning starts in the spring, and in the summer, basic product planning and tree species are decided and trees are purchased. The shape was decided in autumn while drying, and I visited a workshop in Nagiso in winter.

It was a special project that included the process of purchasing and drying wood, but we worked together on the entire process, from material procurement to manufacturing. Exactly everyone's tool, full course.

While looking back on the past year, it's time to put the food on the finished dish and eat it together. It was a fun time.

Lastly, in front of Shiori Day, I regret that there were many absences, but I took a group photo with the tableware selected by the members.

This time, everyone's item #03 is a project that took a year to plan and hold since May of last year's crafts. A talk show will be held, and it will be held on Bookmark Day. Since the event was held in Matsumoto and the workshop was in Nagiso, which is in the same prefecture, there were many first-time attempts. We were able to make an effort unique to Nagano Prefecture, such as choosing the size of the vessel and tree species together, learning the material, thinking about the shape, and visiting the workshop.

The sales start date was yesterday, April 28th. The sales started at the same time as the start of "May of Crafts" held in Matsumoto. It's been a year since Pint! held an exhibition in May last year, and I'm happy to be involved with Matsumoto again. Kogei May is until May 31st. (Please check directly for the business days of the bookmarked days ) We have stocks of various wood grains on the bookmarked days, so please stop by when you come to Matsumoto and take a look.

Please take a look at this tableware while enjoying delicious coffee, baked sweets, and a little press on Shioribi. I think that Mr. Kikuchi, the owner, will also talk about various things.

On the web, it is also on sale at Pint! webshop.
